Schools shut.................
Well the kids are in a good mood this morning.. St.Peters primary school is closed due to the weather.
 I wish they would warn parents earlier though....I could have been having a lie in. But I got them up at 7:30am as usual, and the school rang at 8:10am  ........No chance now of a lie in, cos the kids are hyper, thinking it's great they get a day off school. How many other schools have been closed today?? |

Not many in Accy. Just St. Peter's and St Oswalds I think. Our two were miffed because Moorhead is open. They were hoping the buses weren't running because they couldn't possibly walk on all that slipperyness. The bus came down Willows Lane as usual.

Tell me about it Slinky ST Oswalds is off to but we got a better warning ....... Our kids struggled getting up the road after sliding back down & a bit up then back down something out of a sketch, then the teachers were telling kids to go back home !! Rang school to confirm that it was too treacherous to get there as to lack of gritting effecting education of kids & grown ups as i couldnt go to my maths course either !!

Oops, my daughter goes to Mount Carmel and the school was open as usual. When the weather is bad i put the radio lancashire web site on and also the radio station, they usually have a comprehensive list on there of all schools closeures.
