Re: Shoot the sheep

What is this vendetta people have against sheep? I hear so much drivel from sheep-haters about how they dig plants up, mess in gardens, etc., etc., ad nauseam. I have a lamb and there are lots of sheep around the neighbourhood. Sure they come into my garden, much to our sheep's annoyance, but they do no harm. The sheep next door visits me every morning, has her feet stuck in the wellies and goes home again. Our sheep glares at her and looks "put out" and our goat gives one of those "Oh no, not you again" looks but my garden's fine and I am, believe me, a very keen slaughterman. There is the occasional bit of grave-digging but, hell, I use a spade and a hoe or at least a trowel. I put horse manure round my Rhubarb, I'm not too worried about a bit of sheep manure in the custard.

I'm an ambling armadillo. At least that answers the question of what sheep do when they can't get to sleep. They get some silly fool to shoot them with a tranquiliser dart.

Is your goat a billy or a nanny Less? If he's a billy he may be jealous of your relationship with the sheep.

No need for it to be jealous, by the way I believe in that old proverb, You may as well be well hung for a sheep as a lamb!
