Shrove Tuesday
i dont know if everyone knows but its PANCAKE DAY tomorrow YAYYYYY
the reason for this thread is......why isnt it advertised on the telly anymore? for at least a week before the date we used to get adverts on the telly for 'dont forget the Jif lemon day' is it politically correct now NOT to advertise such a religious occasion? (when it comes down to it, thats what it originally was) if i hadnt looked in my diary i wouldnt have known at all....why is this? this country has gone mad and it REALLY annoys me

I was in Grangemouth asda with spug last week and the shake pancakes where there and spug said you can tell its pancake tuesday next week ... but otherwise i wouldnt have known ...

I like mine best with just sugar, lemon juice and strawberry jam.
The Paul O'Grady had a feature, to remind everyone it was Pancake Day tomorrow. Monday's Blue Peter always made a big thing about Shrove Tuesday, though I don't know if they still do, as I haven't been able to watch it sice the vandals destroyed the Blue Peter garden, and disturbed poor Petra's ashes.

I knew that tomorrow was Shrove Tuesday.
 We will be having pancakes tomorrow. I like mine drizzled with a little bit of syrup.
