Re: The Accyweb adventures of Robin Hood
A couple of things????
First, l know understand the urgency of your pm's Mr Less. I thought this thread was about Staggers stealing ackers from the rich to give to the poor, so at first Red Rind didn't see the need to comment, l was just happy with the redistribution of wealth.
Secondly why is the thread so wide? I tend not to read anything at all Less has posted for fear of whiplash, after having to move my head from left to right to read what is trying to fit my screen.
Thirdly, any unease in the dressing room on Dougs part, is because l will have ultimate sanction on any costumes. Am l not the only member here with a Fashion/Textiles B.A. [Hons.]??? My interest in your tights Dougy Darling is purely professional.
Fourthly 'dirty dancing' with Rupert Everett at the Daisy Chain at The Fridge in Brixton in 1988 hardly qualifies me as a thespian. My greatest West End triumph on the stage is not for a family site!
Lastly l am very excited about my part, as much as some other members are. When do we start rehearsals?

Re: The Accyweb adventures of Robin Hood
The problem is that rough tough men probably all have dirty knees and you know what I think about that. lol
As you are probably aware tights have a tendency to hide quite alot of lifes little imperfections so dirty knees would be amongst the least of your worrys.
But, in the interest of the art I will accept this part as you're quite right it was MADE for me. lol
This is accyweb, as you should already have realised art has a very low priority here, The part is more like some low budget carry on theme.
One question though, which of course, I have to ask being a right-on feminist type - why didn't I get chance to audition for Robin? Surely you aren't typecasting me purely on the basis of my sexuality. I'm quite sure I look better in green tights than most men around here.
Until Doug suggested that we turn this into some form of xmas panto it was supposed to be slightly more up market similar to one of the plays what Ernie Wise wrote.
However the roles could now be reversed we will need a robin Hood that can be a thigh slapper, if you consider yourself as a bit of a slapper then perhaps you could persuade Staggers to do a bit of role reversal with you? (Personally I wouldn't want to put on a pair of tights that he's been wearing and our budget won't run to buying a new pair just for you).
Well thats enough about you I have to get to the Stag and practice my lines,
"Bar-Keep, fetch me more ale",
"Hey wench, wine for the Sheriffs men and I".
(Cue the old joke about a howling dog).

Re: The Accyweb adventures of Robin Hood
This is rapidly descending from from high theatre to panto.
In that case can l baggsie two lines?
Garind-'Forty miles to London and still no sign of Dick!'
Garinda-'Why l do declare, l swear the Princes's Ball's get bigger every year!'
I thank you.

Re: The Accyweb adventures of Robin Hood
Another quick thought this being a panto theme we will need a couple of fairies, get back in line rindy and G78.
I was thinking more along the lines of Tinks and Slinky?

Re: The Accyweb adventures of Robin Hood
I'm sorry in the interest of authenticity you will be in tights, l'm afraid stockings just won't cut the mustard!!!
Being 'clean and smooth' in Sherwood Forerst, so to speak, should alleviate any unsightly chaffing on your part.

Re: The Accyweb adventures of Robin Hood
ANYMORE INSUBORDINATION ABOUT WHAT YOU WILL AND WILL NOT WEAR, WILL RESULT IN YOU PLAYING THE PART OF A TREE, ALONG WITH OTHER LESS ACTIVE MEMBERS.
You WILL wear tights, or will stand with arms outstretched, with your tail between your legs, as a lowly willow tree.

Re: The Accyweb adventures of Robin Hood
Told you, you can be a weeping Willow, and if you come up to scratch you may be able to also be the back end of Harwood Red's horse in scene III, if she can trust you.

No way……..is she playing the head if she's been up Blackburn Road for her tea. I'll play the part of Robins Dog, then I can p*** on your feathery Bow. And how dare you cast her as a horse!!!! She’ll beat you until you go Scarlet……. lol

Re: The Accyweb adventures of Robin Hood
Having resigned myself to the girlie part, mostly because I have girlie parts, can I ask a question Director sir? Will you be running workshops or will we be acting to the Marlon Brando method acting style?
