Re: The Accyweb Annual Awards Evening Categories

I'm sorry folks but although I would normally turn up at the opening of an envelope, me, my vintage Dior outfit and my Manolos will be working on Sunday night...

If the post award ceremony party is still in full swing on Monday morning.......save me a drink.

I've heard from a reliable source someone is going to wear a Bjork swan dress creation.

We shall see, and my reaction will be barbed if he doesn't pull it off with aplomb.

I was getting so carried away with organising the ceremony that I almost forgot the voting. So, look for the 8 new threads which have polls on and get voting. All voting is anonymous.

Votes close at 8.30pm Sunday 25th September 2005.

Although I voted once, can I vote again in catogories were my choices didn't make the final selection?

Everyone has to vote on the new poll threads - even if you've already put in votes because really they were just nominations - now you have to vote for your nominations.

Re: The Accyweb Annual Awards Evening Categories

Yes, to make this absolutely clear. It doesn't matter at this stage whether you have already put your 'vote' in on a thread or by pm - that was purely to get nominations for each category.

We're now at the point where you have to vote on the polls for the eventual winner. If a thread or someone who you nominated didn't get through to the final four in each category you can still vote for one of the ones that did. Likewise, even if you nominated someone you can change your mind and vote differently on the polls.

But, you must vote on the polls or it will not count towards the eventual winner. It kind of takes the element of surprise out of the ceremony tomorrow but it's the fairest way of doing it. I suggest you all place your votes then don't visit the polls again - that way it will be a nice surprise when it's announced.

Instead of medals or statues going to the winners, I have decided to give 50 ackers to each of the winners.

Re: The Accyweb Annual Awards Evening Categories

The voting is hotting up in some categories with it being a very close race to the finish. There is still an hour and a half until voting closes, so if you haven't voted yet in some of the categories now is the time.

See you all at eight thirty.

The 'mug on the rug' is waiting to see what you are all wearing. You better come up to scratch.

I myself am impecable in dinner suit my Gieves and Hawkes, double fronted voile dress shirt from Turnbull and Asser, and a black satin self tie bowtie, not an elastic jobby! The only hint at frivolity are cufflinks from Asperys, little scottie dogs with rubies for eyes.

Like I said impecable. I even tamed my locks back, for a more manly look.

Pleased to see you've made an effort. I just hope people turn up now or it's you and me looking like a prize pair.

Well, I'm here in my Tina Varigos two peice....in bitter chocolate watermarked silk.
For the uninitiated....Tina Varigos is an Australian designer.
The top has a Shawl collar sprinkled very lightly with bugle beads.....just to add to the sparkle of the occasion.....I have my pale coffee coloured satin evening gloves on....and a pair of dangly jet earrings.....will I do.....?
