He commented most of the caravans and cars were stolen and not taxed or insured. When I asked why didn't the police just impound them all he said that would just result in a massive increase in car and caravan theft in the area, so not worth the agro.

One has to wonder why we have police at all, bet your bottom dollar if an ordinary member of Joe Public was driving an untaxed stole van towing a stolen caravan their feet wouldn't touch
