weekend ?
now what do i decide to do start sorting my patch of just green outside into a garden, (wrong) i started off on friday, dug a full length of said "patch".. saturday was spent looking for a garden claw in b & q bought 1 in home bargains in accy £3-99, bargain, got up sunday & looked & dug bits & messed about, (im sure margaret r thought i was loopy (less shush) . but decided that its too much for me so packed it in & went out with my mate instead, now this morning ..yes its raining ... i went & dug a border & put my bulbs in that i'd bought in holland the other week, that were growing in the bags so all in all i had a good weekend nowt as boring as sitting in the sun having a picnic or in the watering holes , what did you do & did you enjoy it as i did .

Re: weekend ?
Hyndburn Homes use big 'sit on' type mowers to cut the lawns.
All your hard work may be ruined when they next visit.
Things in tubs will escape demolition, but anything else is at risk until it is too big to ignore.
Other than the car wash - went nowhere (other than a stroll down the allotment paths)- have had a rough week with flu like symptoms.

Re: weekend ?
Arrived home on Friday afternoon and soon set off to watch Stanley at Macclesfield. Then on Saturday I went to Blackburn and watched yet another draw. The evening followed a few drinks in Burnley. Sunday afternoon was spent in the sun recovering from the previous night on Enfield watching the cricket.

Re: weekend ?
got my brother to put my bets on, turned over the compost in the pots, then shouted on my horses in the national .. got the winnings off my bro ... minus what he put on ... got the takeaway to celebrate, spoke to spugs all night ... then on sunday had plans to weed and plant the front ... but had another one ... so spent it either in bed or sat inside ... didnt want to go and lie in the garden just in case i fell asleep and burnt myself ....

Re: weekend ?
Went to watch Stanley at Macclesfield on Friday night, Saturday had a mooch round downtown Manchester, ended up in the Microbar in the Arndale. Got stuck into their excellent Black Dragon cider (7.5% ABV). Four pints later I was feeling splendid, came out onto Market Street, had an argument with the God botherers, had another argument with the Socialist Workers' Party, tried to join the Hare Krishnas (they weren't keen). Sunday, slept it off.

Was just trying to imagine ya stood on the clayton end wearing an Orange cassock with bells on your fingers and a joss stick behind your ear Wyn
