I'll leave it on permanently, will only take it off when/if she goes home.

I think mines self explanetary,been a Man United fan all my life and switched to FC United in 2005 because of the Glazer takeover.I think the wording on the flag says it all.

I too tend to look at the avatars when thinking of who is posting, even when I know what the person looks like. I get confused when two people have the same avatar.
There's someone else with the same one as Cashy and I tend to think the posts are his until I read them and they don't sound like him. I will always think of Mancie as that guy from Clockwork Orange and Acrylic Bob as Groucho Marx even if they are not using those avatars. As for Garinda - he changes his so often I don't really associate anything, but I do remember when he had Andy Warhol and somebody thought it was him! I used to change mine with the seasons but I've grown quite fond of this one and maybe it's a bit of wishful thinking that I'd like to look like this.

I've had Stan and Babe for quite a while because I absolutely love them. Before that I had Groucho, who I also hero-worship. I guess I go for anything humourous.
Some time ago someone started a similar thread and misspelled avatar as aviator. I though I'd be dead clever (never works, does it?) and I put up a picture of Charles Lindberg, complete with leather helmet and goggles, getting into a plane. It was fine until someone asked me, seriously, if it was a picture of me (I'm a woman, fer gawd's sake) in my youth.

Unfortunately, my current lifestyle is not suited to owning a cat, but that doesn't stop me from fussing every stray moggy that crosses my path. Check out photo comp 47 for pics of my most recent encounters.
