Just have a look at what these company's are offering. Gold 24 ct is over £1000 per troy ounce - before troy sell, ask what you are being offered - 24 is pure and I cannot remember the ratios from there - I am sure someone will now and advise us.

9 carat gold means that only 9 parts of the 24ct is used the in its manufacture, the other part of the mixture is silver and copper depending on the colour required. Other metals are sometime added to create different colours.
So 1 troy ounce of 9 carat gold is only worth about £370, then there is the cost of refining it back to 24 ct.

gold bought in the Middle East - Saudi, Bahrain, Dubai, will range between 18 and 23 carat. If you buy Tola Bars (Size of a finger) - they are guaranteed to be 24 carat, and it is chop square if the seller cheats on them.
