Xbox 360 + 2 Games £33.24

Remember the cheap Larger.

Well here is a good one.

http://www.tesco.com/entertainment/p....aspx?R=818488

Wonder if they would have to honour it.

Probably not. It's the same story as the lager isn't it?

Asda didn't honour that. They blamed human error and cancelled all outstanding orders for the lager.

isn't there a piece of legislation somewhere that states, if you see something for a certain price in a store, that this is the price you pay, or you can have them done under trade descriptions act??

Suppose it would only work in store, as they can change a web site.

But I suppose if you took a picture of that web page and took it in store, they would have to sell it you for that price, or they could be done for false advertising

I thought that too, Slinky, before that business with the lager.

I think that if you have actually handed over the cash then the price has to be honoured but if the payment has not yet been taken, which is the case with supermarket shopping as you are not charged until they put your goods through checkout just prior to delivery, they are under no obligation to honour the price.

But if I went on that site now and paid £33.24 on a credit or debit card, by rights I have paid for my goods. would be fun to get one for £33.24 lol.

At all times our acceptance of an order takes place on despatch of the order, at which point the purchase contract will be made and you will be charged for your order.
So if they take payment does this mean they have to honour it.

Can remember my brother getting a pullover at M&S some years back. The price on it was different to the one that came up at the till and they wanted him to pay the higher price. He got it at the cheaper price but as I say that was a while back the rules may have changed now.

Tesco's T&C's

The prices payable for the items that you order are clearly set out in the web site. If, by mistake, we have under-priced an item, we will not be liable to supply that item to you at the stated price, provided that we notify you before we dispatch the item concerned. All prices are expressed inclusive of any VAT payable unless otherwise stated.

An advertisement is only an invitation to treat, not a contract, so when you see something advertised and attempt to purchase it, you are still in the negotiation stage and the seller should be able to refuse sale.

Well, sorry, them at Tesco's must be very dim...... I mean it even says
RRP £34.99 then says NOW - £ 33.24 You would have thought they would have twigged the mistake lmao. So they are saying that, even before the reduction they were only £34.99 ....... bloody cheap Tesco's

Got an e-mail today about the order - never mind, was worth a try!
