Re: Yesterday you could, today you can’t.
My we are on the ball this New Year’s morning. Well done Mitzy and Less. Yes it is tobacco products but I’ve boobed.
A Radio Lancashire news report this morning stated that the change was today, (unless I misheard. It's my age you know) then in a later bulletin they mentioned October and repeated the same in a subsequent report so I guess it must be October. Sorry about that. If you will just bear with me for a moment I will make me a dunce’s cap, put it on and go and stand in a corner for an hour.
But nonetheless - what a stupid law to make! But then since when did NL think things through before jumping in blindly.
With the advent of binge drinking by the youngsters the next logical step would be to do something similar with alcohol. Put the age up to 20. Imagine the outcry.
Any bets that some bright spark in Whitehall has already thought of that and even as I type and you read wheels are in motion to bring it about. OK! So there’s no one in Whitehall today but they will be tomorrow maybe or at least the day after.
