When I was young and I went to the doctors he would send me off to the chemist's with a prescription and I would proceed home with a bottle of medicine or a few pills in a jar.

Now when I go to the doctor's the same happens except that I come out of the chemist with what only can be described as a K.F.C family bargain bucket for every ailment on the planet.

Do you think I may be ill?

You are obviously not going to be as fit as you were when you were young, and probably some of these drugs will be helping to keep you alive, however, very difficult for us to comment without knowing what your prescription consists of, so please put up a list of your K.F.C. Bargain for us so that we can judge.

Perhaps we can take bets on how long you have got ... tee hee.

When i was young i also went the doctors, now i'm very fortunate if i ever get to see one.

I once had a repeat prescription list of 6 items. -half a carrier bag full

They were masking symptoms, and I became addicted to one of them.
I reached a stage where I knew I was going downhill rapidly and none of the stuff I was taking was curing me.
I began websearching and realised that one prescription drug can cause a problem which needs another prescription drug for that side effect symptom.
I was in the fortunate position not to have any life threatening illness, so I just stopped taking them.
I found this video very helpful in explaining the mechanics of 'ill health'

thats because there are no doctors anymore just nazi receptionists that make it so difficult to get an appointment within 3 weeks with your actual doctor that you either drop dead or your illness gets so bad your rushed into hospital and if lucky treated in time

Tip to beat nazi receptionist when making telephone appointment accyman, when they tell you the earliest appointment is a week next pancake Tuesday, just tell them okay I'd better have a house call then, as I could well be dead then, if they refuse threaten to report them to the Community Health Council, they may just find a cancellation for you

As for my prescriptions I don't go to the chemists any more, those nice people deliver for me these days, I wait with bated breathe to see the little chap staggering down the footpath to my gaffe with this huge box every month, I have 18 items on my repeat list, of which 14 are ordered every month. used 13 but in my last stay in dock they knocked one off and added two more
