Re: Looking for new members
I took my 7 year old on Thursday he thought it was brilliant. But check the times for cadets as we thought we would arrive early 6.45 (badgers) only to find it started at 6.30. They close for the summer after next week opening again in september. The badgers work for 12 badges Including first aid my little 'un can't wait to get started.

Re: Looking for new members
Thanks Debbie for the info on the times. The reason why I made that mistake is that I don't have a lot to do with the Badgers and Cadets on a Thursday night mostly because of my work, but I am hoping to visit them sometime as a surprise visit lol. If you want to think about joining the Adult section feel free to come down most Monday evenings from 7pm (there are Cadets then til 8pm) and the Adults meet from 8pm. That way if your son really likes and stays on as a Cadet and when old enough to go to duties you can go with him. I hope that he will enjoy the Badgers and younger Cadets on Thursday's.

Re: Looking for new members
Just an update for you to know about. The Cadets and Badgers will not be meeting until the schools return after the holidays. However the Adults will be meeting on Monday Nights as usual, there maybe some training but mostly it is to sort out the duties that have come in. We are starting to plan our cover for Blackburn Rovers, Burnley and Accrington Stanley. Hope to meet some of the accyweb.com members at the Interlink sometime over the forthcoming season.........

Re: Looking for new members
As some people will be aware the meeting night for Badgers and cadets have moved to Monday's this was done so that there would be some continuation from Badgers through to Adult.
We are always looking for new members and if you are worried as to what is expected from you the CVS have arranged for some information days and if my PC skills are up to speed the poster should be here LOL.
Please feel free to ask any questions
Bernard

Just an update for anyone that is planning an event.
From 1st of March 2008 we will be using the following email addresses
[email protected] is for general questions about St John or for more information about joining. You don't have to be a uniformed member if all you want to do is help within the background of the division.
[email protected] is for requesting first aid cover or for information about an event and any requirements.

With the approaching summer holidays I just thought that I would let people know when the Division is closed and when it re-opens.
The Division will close to ALL members on 14th July and on the 4th of August it will re-open for ADULT members only.
Badgers and Cadets will re-open 1st September.

Re: Looking for new members
The Division is open every Monday evening. Badgers and Cadets start about 19:00 and the Adults start at 20:00. All you need to bring down is yourself and then if you still want to join all things will be explained.
Please feel free to call in and ask for:-
John or Bernard for the Adults.
Janet for the Cadets.
Kath or Caroline for Badgers.
