So it turns out that I Aint that bad at taking these - rather that the camera doesnt stitch things that are close to you all that well

Nice pics. I am hopefully going to have to take a walk that way this week. Never been that way...Is there somewhere where you can get off near the royal oak?

Not sure which pictures you are refering to, if its the last ones I dont know where the Royal Oak is, but there is a bus stop close to the ovens, it is on a main bus route

The street you showed me is the main road through "Ossy" heading in the direction of the road over to Blackburn, I am not aware that this is on the canal, or am I missing the gist of your post.
