Re: Bash Railway Line

Great pics. Love railway lines-old or new. Be over soon for a look for real. Not too fond of hlolland's pies though.

Re: Bash Railway Line

I used to deliver chemicals in a tanker to Baxenden Chemicals. I was told the building were originally the old railway yards. Do you know if they were engine sheds, warehoues or part of the station? It seems a way off any railway line, I am sure the old station was down the Grane road which is much lower than Baxenden.

Re: Bash Railway Line

There are a couple of pictures here of the location of Baxenden Chemicals to the railway.

In the first 2 the line runs between the warehouses and the caravans and on the 3rd and 4th picture you can see the railway line in perspective to the Hollands Chimney

Re: Bash Railway Line

Thanks for all the info, I was getting my Baxenden mixed up with Haslingden. Now I can understand the layout of the railway.

Re: Bash Railway Line

Just wondered, Shill, is it safe for a woman to do this walk on her own ?

Perhaps, best to wait until I am looking after my friend's chocolate labrador again ?
