Re: Fair Friday

no flash, and I'm assuming no tripod or it wouldn't be impressive... all I can say is WOW... to get that much light in with no shake is pretty amazing.. The colours look amazing to, has this been photoshopped or is it fresh from the camera?

The Fair returns to Accrington 25 March to 3 April 04

Kipax, welcome to the site. Your photographs are brilliant. I would love to use them and the one of the train station on my website. Will you think about it please?

Wallis's fun fair is back in Accrington for the first time in three years - new rides and a new site - Eagle Street - (old Council Offices) It is open weekdays from 6pm until 10pm and Saturdays from 1pm to 10pm (No Sunday opening)

The original siting for the fairground was of course Ellisons Tenement, then it was on the site where the new cinema is, off Hyndburn Road, it then moved, I believe, to land off Charter Street and then .. nothing, until now (correct me if I am wrong on these sites)

The photo I am showing was taken in 1995, off Hyndburn Road

Fairs

Hi, I called round at the fairground on Sat teatime. I was not impressed - bit of a difference from the fairgrounds of 100 years ago.
When the trams were introduced c1886 the fair moved from Peel Street and went onto Ellisons Tenement on Hyndburn Road, now of course built on
