Hyndburn Park-one for the ladies!
Thought I'd post this to see if it brings back any memories!
It's a photo of Hyndburn Park Seniors play ''The Mikado'',my mums on it,back row 4th from left.........woops didn't ask her what year,probably about 1956/57.

All she could remember was Gillian Lightbown (probably spelt wrong),Jean......somebody!! and wait for it........ ...Wilamena Mary Treanor,great name.

After my time I think. Had an interesting lunch yesterday with school friends of 55 years ago.

What about Bronwen Gears? She was in the chorus I think. Also Gordon Birtwistle MP who played the Lord High Executioner. I am Ivor Gears and was one of the gang of lads who built the stage, under the direction of Mr Aspin. Others were (I think) Terry Whittaker, George Carter, Harold Bray and Colin Harrison.
I now live in Suffolk and Bronwen lives in Texas.
