Couldn't agree more! I'm so glad that Dave set up the Today in pics thread and from that came the new competitions. There is a good feel to it all -no sniping and friendly comments and feedback are always useful to us all.

To be fair the photo comps were running well before this thread was posted......but there had been a glitsch in the software...which meant that posting to the comps was problematic.
However, you are right about the good natured feel to this thread and the pics are just beautiful.

I think a lot of you may know why I had been very low and down in the dumps for a while but getting out and about and taking photographs again has helped me on my way.
I feel as though I belong to a nice group of people who are my virtual family.
No doubt one day I shall meet some of you, you are in for a shock, be prepared.

So it doesn't take us by surprise, you could always post a picture of yourself.
