My vote's in. Whew, that was a hard choice! Not only because the photos were all so interesting, but they shared precious memories with us. Thank you everyone who entered.

Still got that innocent contented look seen so frequently in the railway.

Re: New Photo Competition 22
Well done Turtle. You nailed it.
I still think the pic of Mick in the bath would have been a contender.

Re: New Photo Competition 22
I loved the feel of Turtle's photo -that frozen winter, which I've seen photos of in my parents wedding on Boxing day at Sacred Heart Church Accy. I struggled to choose between that photo and the one of her and her brother dressd for Halloween outside the same house - I really felt the bond she had to that place...
Hard to transmit the emotion of a memory - my photo of my husband's first National win with a cow called Diana (my namesake though I'm sure he loved her more than me!) for me recalls the apex of a year-long effort to have her in perfect form for the show - I used to massage her udder after each milking with a special cream -it was a real team effort with my sons involved too. We could never have imagined it would have have happened 3 times in a row - a record. But the first time is always the sweetest

Re: New Photo Competition 22
Well done Turtle, a lovely picture. Worthy winner. It was really hard to choose, so many great 'memories'. Must confess in the end I voted for grandma knitting everything as it brought back memories of knitted two piece bathers...looked just the thing until in contact with water.....enough said!!!!!
Also great to see so many entries. Let's keep this up.

That mental picture of you rubbing cream into a cows udder will stay with me for a long time.

Re: New Photo Competition 22
Dear Accy Web friends - I just got in from a pottery show, and with the time difference between Canada and Accy, I just found out now that my photo won. Thank you all for your very kind comments - they mean a lot.
There were many wonderful photos entered, and I really struggled to chose one to vote for. Well done everyone, and thank you for embracing my theme. Unfortunately I don't have one ready, as I really didn't think I would win this time. I've asked Mick if he can help me out.
I agree - Mick's bath tub shot was fab! It should have been entered.
