Off topic ... but there probably isn't much of that lying about on the cobblestones any more ... I can remember getting my arse tanned for stepping in a pile of hosspickles and tracking it into the house

There is usually aile or three up where Ma lives.....And we see young lasses on horses fairly regularly either going into Priestley Clough, or coming out of it.
These days you are much more likely to trail doggy doo into the house and onto the best bit of Brussels.
