Recent Photos Of Accrington

I have been living in Germany For The Past 8 Month's, Feeling A Bit Home Sick, Was just Wondering if Any One Has Any Modern Photos Of Accrington. Also If Any One Has Any Recent Photos Of The Abbey On Bank Street That Would Be Nice, I Worked There For 3 Years And Managed It For The Last 6 Months Of My Time In England.

Haven't got any photos Beermonster, Just looked up Zell im Wiesenthal...guess what...I was in Müllheim (Zunzingen actually)last weekend, about 30kms away. Wish I'd have known I'd have popped round for a bier or 3. Could have brought the wife (from Spring Hill), and a couple of little Accy books to get rid of your homesickness.

I go about twice a year to Zunzingen, to see my mates widow and her family. If you are still there next year I'll call round!

Great photo Atarah. Sometimes I think we take our architecture for granted. There really are some very nice buildings when you look around - lets hope HBC doesn't get it into its head to demolish them to make way for more modern developments.

Im with you Doug, it brings tears to my eyes, keep em coming Atarah, I cant thank you enough. I always take a look at your site. If your ever in Clayton could you take a photo of 57 Atlas St, on the corner with Sydney St, accross the from the Royal Mill. It was where I was born. My Uncle Jimmy still lives next door, he's lived there for about 70 yrs, he's 95.

I was conceived and produced in that upsairs bedroom, 56 yrs ago. Don't know weather it was a good thing or a bad thing have'nt made much of a mark on the world.
