5 Little Blackburn Rd, now theres a view that hasnt changed, not a modern building in sight, when I zoom in I could be looking down the road in 1965, mixed feelings. but here I am in shorts & thongs, picking cherries.

Enjoyed those folks ... thank you.

Have you noticed the men in town ... not really dressed for the snow; trainers, jeans and light jackets .. no head covering ... We're a tough lot .. must be ....

Re: Snow photos - Dec 2009

A few views from this morning. Me and doggie often go up Manchester Road, then towards the old lane by what was once Rough Lee Maternity Home. Then we pass the fabulous houses on Eaton Bank and then return to town via Hollins Lane. (The
5th photo is same as I posted the other day, but, more snow!)

Happy Christmas to you all.

Atarah, these pics should have been put into the competition......alas now it is too late to enter them.
I feel that you would have won with any one of those.
My favourite is the one of the big house.......excellent pics.

Agree .. they are lovely. I still love the one looking down Hollin's Lane ...but the second one with more snow.

Wadey's are magic Winter Wonderlands.

Afraid never got out in the snow ... having to look after family over Christmas .. just a couple of fun ones from my window :

susie's snowman 002.jpg Susie's five minute snowman. Very cheerful
susie's snowman 003.jpg How scarey is he now .put the pooh up me everytime I passed the window.
