1. The bottom of Birdy Brow.
2. This gives you some idea how wet it is.
Only the frog is enjoying the weather! Great shot...

If you were as wet as Bob - hope the car dries out before your next trip!

BTW where's Birdy Brow - I've been away from Accy for over 40 years - don't know half of these places you get to!

Re: Today in pictures

Glad you liked my chainsaw pictures - here's the second instalment...

1 Starting on the second statue. That's Morecambe Town Hall in the background - the council bods didn't have far to come to check up on his work!
2 Rough cut, side view
3 Long shot over the back garden wall from the bedroom window
4 Using the sander
5 The shrimp woman appears
6 Back view
7 Shot taken two days ago from the house on max zoom - the statues have weathered and are varnished each year
8 This is the carver's name on his vehicle
9 Posted this pic yesterday but forgot to say - that's our house on the right and the long shots were taken from the upstairs window on the extreme right. The famous loo window where I take lots of shots is at the same level but in the gable end wall, facing the sea

These statues were photographed more often than Eric Morecambe in the first few months they were there...

There is a point when you know that its impossible to get any wetter, and today I found that point, despite the fact that I had a waterproof coat, and over-pants on, my knickers were still wet when I got home. So I suppose the message is, when you are as wet as you can get, stop out there until you have finished.

Its a bit outside my area, as we had a guide today and an extra dog. But to answer the question, its the front end of Longridge fell, from the top you look down on the area of Chaigley.

Dave, you must learn to go before you leave the house...

Gotcha, found Birdy Brow on the map, near Kemple End where we used to go for picnics when I was little.

I should stop wearing knickers, that way they wont get wet.

Correct we pass Kemple End as we wind uphill to the car park

Does he treat them with anything or will they just rot in time?

Wow! How I envy you that rain... :

It's actually a bit cooler here today, around 34°C as they've had rain in the Alps - due to get some storms soon here too which should break the back of this infernal summer we've had - can't wait for autumn to get underway
