Number 2, just look at all those picnic tables, and not a person in sight, in fact all the pictures have very few people in them and such a nice place to walk around.

Well it was a bloody awful day Dave, even the ducks weren't hanging around, but we've been there when it's been standing room only - and you're right, it is a lovely place to walk around. I'm only glad I get the chance every week or two, it really cheers me up.

It takes dedication to go out in this weather, keep it up. What did you have waxed?
Today in Pictures, A walk on the wet side, or roaming the Ribble randomly.
1. Parking at Hurst Green we head down Lambing Lane.
2. I couldn't pass this smörgåsbord of fungal possibilities.
3. Apparently this bridge sways when you walk on it, its Dinkley Bridge.
4. It did, and this is the flowing Ribble from the other side of the bridge.
5. The Ribble is up to the bank top, and could get higher.
6. I couldnt pass this one either.
7. I kissed it, and nothing happened, well apart from slime and warts on my lips, and a feeling I had a frog in my throat.
8. This was as far as we went along the bank.
9. Mighty puddles from little droplets grow.
10. I'm not the only one taking snaps.
Great shots Dave, really capture the force of the water and I love the frog toad (?) one. Still raining here, perhaps a start on an ark might be a good idea?

Nice ones of the Ribble Dave. I past over the Ribble on the M6 .I've never seen it so high there
With the persistent rain it will get worse, there was a roar to the water as it passed under the bridge, a bit intimidating really.

There were logs and things whizzing passed at a fair lick, and I even saw three ducks sat in the flow go whizzing past, it was a bit surreal.

Any port in a storm, after I kissed it I did turn into a prince with a mince.
