Don't know about atmospheric, but this shot I feel is rather evocative. Taken at RAF "Woodvale" Southport, the weekend of the Southport Air show, a Lancaster at dusk on a WW II airfield, at any moment you'd expect the aircrew to approach through the rising ground mist, contemplative, pensive but determined to do a necessary job.

1. Starting at Hameldon Woods came across this, is it the start of alien?
2. Looking across Huncoat.
3. Still going up, the bit between Hapton Quarry, and Kings Highway.
4. Have photographed this before, but as we were going past.
5. Its probably as high as its going to get.
6. As we descend on Kings Highway, a hint of a rainbow.
7. After a climb over a barbed wire fence ( we were slightly off piste ) we entered Hameldon Woods again.
8. Found another stream, I think this feeds across to Castle Clough.
9. A totem of fungal infection, you can get cream for it nowadays,
10. Last photo of fungi, just before we emerged back into civilisation.
It takes dedication to go out in this weather, keep it up. What did you have waxed?
sorry dave ive had no internet from monday nite to friday teatime .. and the spugster was down friday nite ..and goes home later on today .. but its my arm that was hot waxed ... the one that was in the cast ... this is it in stages ... dip it into the hot wax 7 times to build it up .. then into a paper bag to stop the wax getting onto the towel, wrap it in a towel and wait 15 mins for it to work, and then peel it off, and squish the wax like a stress ball ... its to help me do my exercises, ease the pain ...

Night and day,
Many years ago I got the job of taking all the gas oil from Barrow power station when it closed down to Padiham and took the chimney photo.
Last night I looked out and saw the moon just about to hide behind a cloud, I just had time to catch a quick photo.

How did you manage with no Internet for so long, I would have required anaesthetic.
You are right about the Autumn, the rain is definitely getting colder.

I can never get anything that resembles a moon, I have had a couple of light streaks, and a couple that look like a dim light bulb, but nothing that resembles the moon.
