AArrgghh! Missed off the pics!!
1 Honeysuckle on the fence, just coming into flower
2 Honeysuckle in closeup
3 Blue geranium and a Welsh poppy (can't avoid those in shots, they're everywhere!)
4 My garden gnome's coming out to play - he's just got to find his pointy hat and fishing rod
5 Get some cream ready - these will soon be raspberries
6 Oriental poppy and snail - last week this was just bursting forth from its bud - the others have yet to follow
7 Opinions differ - Allium bulgaricum or Nectaroscordum bulgaricum - whatever, it's an ornamental onion - you can tell by the smell!
Part 1. Dry at last , dry at last. Today in Pictures
1. Along Burnley Road.
2. Heading for a walk I spotted a few days ago.
3. And here we are, wonder were it comes out.
4. It doesnt look well walked.
5. Could be nice to stop a while, later.
6. And on we go.
7. We arrive at open fields that look familiar.
8. Looking towards the Nab.
9. Looking towards Pendelton Moor.
10. It comes out at the bottom of Bell Lane, so we head towards Wilsons playing fields along the Priests Walk
Part 2. Still dry.
11. Looking right as we go down the path.
12. The priests walk, arriving at Wilson's Playing Field.
13. Right turn down Whalley Road.
14. Up some dodgy steps.
15. Path behind the Hyndburn Pub.
16. Left turn towards Lower Barnes Street, a dodgy path with snarling guard dogs, but views off to the side.
17. Here we arrive at the very base of Lower Barnes Street.
18. Up Barnes Street towards the park and out the other end.
19. Up the Ginnel towards Hygiene.
20. Then up Checkers, along the canal, and home.
Clapped out, tired, hungry, thirsty, but still dry, at last.
Today I spotted an alien presence in my greenhouse. There's a lot of glass missing, no plants and a lot of rubbish in there as we're getting rid of it and having a new one. It's still a good place for an afternoon nap...
1 First sighting...
2 Waking up
3 Getting closer
4 Not sure...
5 Can I get through that hole and on to the wall?
6 Perhaps not...
7 It's warmer in here
8 My garden gnome has a camera as well as a fishing rod
9 The green men who guard my shed
10 One day I might get a fig - in the meantime it might be useful if I run out of clothes
Can't tell you how many black and white cats there are round here - and we had one too till recently. I'm thinking of getting mugshots of all of them plus records of their markings - then I might be able to tell em apart.

Love the pics Sue. Maybe because I am very fond of cats.
I thought it was one of yours.

No - our last cat died last October at the age of 17. We haven't gone for any more because if we go travelling when Richard retires we wouldn't want to keep leaving them behind for long periods. I think the greenhouse has become something of a feline hotel because we have no cats of our own to put them off. The one today, who I don't think I have seen before, had the most expressive and quite loud voice when I spoke to him/her/it. Yes I know, crazy cat lady strikes again!

You need not explain......I am one of those 'crazy cat ladies too'. If anyone was listening, I am sure they would cart me off to somewhere secure and only give me a plastic spoon to eat with

Are they pictures of a Border Collie Pussy Cat? How long did it take to grow that in your greenhouse? Seriously what a lovely cat.
