5. I think I might be getting obsessed with pylons.
6. In the direction of Blackburn.

I did see a few trains come past on the other side of the Res. I don't think you would have seen me though, I was on my hands and knees snapping water and swans.
More of my African adventures... after we came down from the arch (see yesterday) we were taken on a drive to show us some more of the surrounding area.
View from the to of the arch - the land in the distance is the other side of the Gambia river
The road out of town, towards the Atlantic beaches
Haircut, Sir?
Craft worker making batik hangings
Small girl snapped from the bus window
And our next stop is - the sacred crocodile pool
Here they are (see also my post in Oo'd a thowt it - yes I did touch one - with guidance!)
This one looked hungry but its mouth stayed in this position all the time we were there
This is a big'un
Goat and two kids enjoying a dust bath in the road at the crocodile pool

1 winckley square in preston
2 & 3 looking across the railway track from outside the train station

The first two look like a modern city, then you see the others with dirt roads, a place of contrast.

Was really surprised to see in Sue's photo the Vimto sign -you can't get it in Italy unfortunately!
Nice to see Accy's Xmas lights Jen - I tnink the ones on the front of the Town Hall seem a bit naff though -probably just me being a bit of a snob!
Love the deep blues and reflections in the first one of Daves.
Bring on the competitions -there should be some fun then !

Crafts for sale on the quayside, possibly made in China? with a ramshackle houseboat in the background
Banjul is on an island and the only way of getting to one side of the river is this rustbucket of a ferry
Or these traditional craft
I wanted a pointy hat like this but there didn't seem to be any on sale
The ferry in midstream, stuffed to capacity
Flock of goats on the ferry
Banjul pilot boat leaving the ship
It was Halloween and we were greeted on board by these weird and wonderful creatures, carved by the crew!
