I've got one more pic left and this is actually from today, for a change. I woke up at 6am and looked out of the window. The moon was full, and directly overhead, and the double glazing made two reflections as well. The moonlight was so bright it lit up the cloud below it and the effect was magical.
This is not a brilliant photo but it captures the moment, fortunately the camera was close at hand. The other lights in the photo are the streetlights around the Town Hall opposite.

1. setting off along the canal.

3. frosty leaf.
4. This has enough in it to make me giddy. leaves, frost, droplets.
5. Almost at Church now.
6. By the Brook.
7. Frost on a gate post.
8. Approaching Rishton Dip.
9. I'll have ice on the rocks please.
10. Frost on a rock, wasn't that a Neil Diamond song ! (it does doesn't it, but I'm not going to say )
Some flora and fauna to round off my visit to West Africa. The first five pictures were taken at the crocodile pool.
Vegetation outside the museum
An interesting stem/trunk
The base of the trunk of a silk cotton or kapok tree
Close up of the kapok tree
Bamboo
On the way back to Banjul, don't know what this tree is but it had wonderful coloured leaves
Close up of coloured leaves
Very large spider in enormous web, at the crocodile pool. The web was several feet wide and covered several bushes
On the way back north up the West African coast the ship was followed by lots of birds. I tried to snap them but they kept moving! This is my best shot, looks a bit like a gannet
Some of the birds were very dark in colour, with sharper wings, this is the only photo I have which shows one fairly well

Interesting vegetation, and I bet the locals don't even notice it.
I know they are considered to be rodents and vermin...but I like them, they make me smile with their acrobatics.
Ma puts monkey nuts out for the squirrels and the birds come along and eat them.

Birds in our garden are very fussy - won't touch peanuts but wolf down black sunflower seeds like they're going out of fashion. Memo to self... must remember to buy another few kilos now the frosts are here...

I think the birds and the squirrels are very hungry already. Ma has a whole host of birds visiting her backyard wall.......and the squirrels are getting braver by the minute.
I swear that soon they will be in her kitchen buttering a slice or two of bread.

I have quite forgotten how to do this......
We went to Manchester...and Bury today(not my favourite day out - I prefer to do one or the other. Doing both leaves me feeling dissatisfied, I see nothing much of either place and am run round as fast as my little legs will carry me).
1) A Roast Hog on Bury Market. I asked the chef to be on it specially for Heth.
(I know she likes nice looking young men)
2) More Roast Pig - you could have the lovely succulent slices on a barm cake.
3) The Moon, taken whilst waiting for the bus this morning.

I hope you bought a pork butty after getting the butcher to pose for you!
