Which is just a wee hop & a skip to Crieff

and the Glenturret Distillery (famous Grouse experience) good for a Dram or several. Failing that you could always take some piccys.

after going round the bushmills distillery ..i aint going nowhere near another one till the doc says i can drink again ... i staggered out of there .. with a certificate in my hand saying i was an official whiskey taster ... after trying 12 different whiskeys .. ranging from bourbons .. right through to malts aged many years ...

oh and still have the certificate .. its at home ..

The Edradour Distillery (Pitlochry) is far more picturesque & turns out a rather pleasant Whisky. In fact there's quite a few Distilleries that are pleasing to the eye, not to mention the taste buds.

some of todays trip to stirling ...

1 stirling high street .. well one of them anyway
2 & 3 my favourite shop it was so hard to decide what to buy
3 someones house back in the 1600s
4. cannon on the street leading up to the castle
5. it says rock of ages it was in the churchyard
6 & 7 & 8. in the churchyard it was high up ..
9 view looking towards the wallace monument
10 well there was some blue skies .. just not near us..
8.. the castle in the distance .. spugster was looking at the castle

oh dave that sweet shop ... you should have seen it .... it was full .. jack daniels sweeties, whisky chocolate, it took me ages to decide what to come out wi ...

you forget .. i dont drink alcohol now ...

Today in Pictures, why are the uphill bits always a bit steep.

1.My car is down there by the road, and I'm up here trying to breath.
2. Spoil piles from the quarry days, I've just spoilt something myself, its the altitude.
3. Its a hut, or what's left of a hut.
4. The footpath is now what was once the cart track around the site.
5. I think I will go around the other way, its making my nose bleed.
6. It must have had a use, but not now.
7. I think this was the base for the winding system that took the buckets of stone down the hill. Or was it?
8. I've been here before, and the stone flags are here long after the people who put them there.
9. I haven't looked this up yet, so haven't a clue as to what it is, but I will.
10. I've been up here that long its going dark.

So that was todays walk around Hapton Quarry, probably the steepest climb I have done in while, even the downhill bits made me out of breath.
