Back to sunnier climes -grey,sleety day here -I know the NW is expecting snow today. Shots of La Caleta -another lovely place near my parents, fab waves for surfers, lovely views and great fish restaurants! If ever you are over that way I can recommend Restaurante Masa do Mar
“Beauty is an experience, nothing else. It is not a fixed pattern or an arrangement of features. It is something felt, a glow or a communicated sense of fineness.” ~ D. H. Lawrence

Today in Pictures, it started as a nice day, if overcast, ended as a snowy thing with poor visibility.
1. Almost the start point, the River Calder as it heads in the direction of Whalley, as we are.
2. Looking over to Pendleton Hill the visibility appears to be getting worse.
3. Approaching Whalley Banks, snow is coming down.
4. Whalley Banks.
5. Heading out the other side of Whalley Banks.
6. That is the road out of Whalley up to Spring Wood, we are going in that direction eventually.
7. What you can't see in the picture is the fine snow now falling.
8. A web filling up with snow, if a spiders knees knock through the cold it must sound like castanets.
9. Were you wondering were Whalley weir was, well wonderful !
10. Looking back at the weir before joining the road (where the red car is in picture 6.)
I took some pics over the Christmas period in jpeg and RAW. Ihave been experimenting with RAW.Do any members know if I can convert fron Raw to upload on accyweb, and how do I do it?

Yes, starting at Memorial park, Gt Harwood down to the river, left over the nab, then drop down into Whalley just past the weir, near Judge Walmsley pub, back along the river until the path takes you back up to the road then to Spring Wood car park.
