I have just read the castle clough information, now quiet by chance I was walking through the very clough this afternoon. As I didn't realise I was in the right area I never looked for any wall.
I will have to return to this location.
This was the walk I attempted yesterday, but ended up with wet underpants, serves me right for putting them on my head.
Part 1. Today in Pictures, the return.
1. This is where I left off yesterday.
2. Down the dip to the ford.
3. Over the bridge.
4. Into Castle Clough.
5. The footpath crosses this water several times, so I had wet socks today.
6. More stream.
7. Hang on, going to put down my camera and climb that!
8. Stand by, putting the camera down again!
9. Wait a minute, just got to put the camera down again, I'm getting to old for this.
The lengths you go toto get the pics. Which direction did you approach it from, Huncoat or Hapton?
Parked up close to the stocks in Huncoat, quick walk around the memorial and then hurtled down the lane past the picnic area and down to the ford. It was longer than I thought, as it was one of those "I wonder where that goes" operations. Would do the area again as there are numerous signposts pointing down footpaths.
Beautiful Jen. I love sunsets, and sunrise too......the colours are just gorgeous.

I like to see them both.......It is good when I am away with Ma. We are both early risers......we rise, look out and survey the scene...if there is a spectacular sunrise then I capture it, the I might just go back to bed with the curtains open(obviously, it depends on whether we are overlooked and whether Ma has herself dignified - covered up) and watch as the sunrise develops.
