Today in Pictures, I said I would only be an hour, but I couldn't leave until it had gone almost dark.
1. Drifts of Foxgloves on the way down to the reservoir.
2. The sun is low in the sky, and the colours are golden.
3. A hot air balloon is drifting by.
4. The sun is dropping a bit sharpish now.
5. A thrill for the punters, a low pass before back up again.
6. The sun is just dropping, and the colours are genuine.
7. A bit of zoom and the colours get a bit stronger.
8. Heading back up the hill I am following the sunset.
9. Time to call it a day.
10. It must be bedtime, and time for a Horlicks and a sit down.
a visit to rawtenstall, the flowers in the garden another red lily has come out and a visit to the graveyard across the road ... i fired off an email when i got home with some of these photos attached complaining .. thanks to retlaw i know a bit more ..

Thanks, I seem to get my best sunset shots around Dean Clough for some reason, and the hot air balloon was one of two in the area, but the second one was heading in the direction of Blackburn.

Might be for quite a while as it was sunny over there on St Swithin's day

Surely 6 is the Serengeti? But where are the wildebeest and zebras?
