A selection of photos taken at Brougham Hall near Penrith and the ruins of Brougham castle. Both places belonged to Lady Anne Clifford who also owned Skipton castle as featured recently in the TV series The White Queen. Slipped in one rare photo of me, camera in hand and juggling with my scarf, taken by my friend Andrea.

Last set of pics from my hols.
1-5. Some fish & coral.
6. Tiran island.
7 & 8. Fun in the waterpark.
9. That`s just coloured sand poured into a container and poked with a stick to make a picture.
10. Another towel animal.

Now thats just showing off, under water snaps, and it takes a moist gusset to an all new level.

That water shoot shot is a cracker.
Thanks DM, the underwater pics were just a disposable, cost £12 + developing, then scanned at work today. OK in shallow water, the pics taken in deeper water didn`t come out too good.
The slides were great fun.
Today in pictures, a day when wet socks could not be avoided.
1. Start point, they will soon remove that signal box as they streamline the service.
2. Not much floral colour at the moment, a Trefoil.
3. Things you could eat, I'm not saying you should, but you could, although I don't know if Clover is edible.
4. Chamomile.
5. Common Toadflax.
6. Looking back down the site, and time to head back.
7. Sea Aster.
8. Although not the best shot of droplets I have taken, but one of the first droplet snaps I took was of a Clover leaf, and this was a slippy slide into the world of wet socks and moist gussets.
9. I know its wet, we are going home soon.
10. A spiders trap in a Burnet.
A look round Little Salkeld Watermill which is fully restored and is still milling organic flour and cereals in the traditional way. The miller very kindly posed while working for my photos! We bought some of the flour he milled and packed -it was still warm from the friction of the millstones -made some fantastic pizza! Lots of interesting corners for photographers too -so well worth a visit if you're ever up in Cumbria. The Watermill | Little Salkeld Watermill

I love the brightly painted doors and window shutters in contrast to the stone walls. Great shots!

Then it truly was a lucky clover, for we've enjoyed the results of all your wet moments since

If you go onto the link I've posted about the place there is an excellent film which shows you all about the people who took the mill on and restored it -they chose the colours! They also show how it all works interspersed with other details about the history of the place, their products and the people who work there. Worth watching -you can see just how noisy the machinery is!

A great location, the cogs and gears are very interesting.
