1. Start point, the res. from the bottom end.
2. Selfheal carpeting the footpath.
3. A clump of Montbretia growing wild.
4. Past the reservoir and up the feeder stream.(wet socks)
5. One of the smaller wet bits that join the main wet bit.
6. Top of the walk, a storm is brewing.
7. They used to sacrifice virgins here............no they didnt..........they couldn't find any.
8. Here we are again, face down in the dirt.
9. No point worrying when you are already dirty.
10. A Cranesbill Geranium with the Nettle Tap Moth having a feed on stuff.
Nice pics again DM, only seen that place from a distance. meant to get a closer look but never got round to it.
Its an interesting walk, and the area behind the reservoir is a fungi photographers dream, there must be over 20 different types, although on first glance you would not notice them. The waterfall most of the time is a tame affair, but when there has been heavy rain it get noisy and spectacular amounts of water come over that edge. The stream that feeds Jackhouse Reservoir. 4. of 5 | Flickr - Photo Sharing! have had to post a link as my ration for today has been used up.

Just out of interest, what would happen if you were to post another set of pics after you`ve used up your ration for the day? And when was this ration set and by whom? I haven`t seen anything in the site rules about posting too many pics in one day, but maybe I missed it.

If one could imagine the perfect forest scene (with wet bits), 5&6 hit it spot on. As for the fungi - such interesting forms. I tried photographing pumpkins in the field today, but I wimped out on getting down and dirty. I've got to work on that!

Dont get down without first working up to it, try bending over, then on one knee, then then you have got the hang of it, flat out. Then you have to try it in various wet conditions, but do it in secluded spots first.

A selection of photos from a day out at Patterdale Country show. Events with sheep trials, judging of breeds, dog show and also judging of beautiful hand-made shepherd's crooks. Was a great day out and my god-daughter Ana with Patch, a tri-colour American Cocker Spaniel, won the dog show. Her best friends Sophie and Charlotte with Fizz, a beagle won another category so they were all happy and spent the £3 prize on some treats for the dogs! All the girls and the 2 dogs in the photo with the judge -a Cumbria TV presenter. The boy with the carved "trout" stick had made it himself! Unfortunately we missed the Cumberland wrestling -will be for next year!
“Beauty is an experience, nothing else. It is not a fixed pattern or an arrangement of features. It is something felt, a glow or a communicated sense of fineness.” ~ D. H. Lawrence
I had arranged to go to the Lorry show at the Museum at Leyland today and as it is outside I wasn't looking forward to wandering around in the rain.
I took an old Olympus camera to save ruining one of my better ones and managed one or two outside shots, the others were taken inside the museum.
No.1 Old Morris A.A, van.
No.2 Little Morris eight, Don Frazer inside owns it and also the Holmeswood coaches you see around.
No.3 I drove a few of these Bedford RL's in the army.
No.4 Even Rolls Royce's get wet.
No.5 Time to go inside now, it's too wet. Albion, motto sure as the sunrise, see the sunrays on the radiator.
No.6 I saw these in the workshop, lain undiscovered for years and just been cleaned up, they sell for over twenty quid on ebay.
No.7 The seat in the actual Popemobile, used when he visited Lancashire.
N0.8 You don't see many of these on the streets nowadays.
N0.9 Hello ducky.
No.10 My old mate Clifford grabbed me to dance infront of the organ with him, we drew a crowd and finished up with a few more people in the line up.
Not the best day out taking photos but it was better than sitting at home watching the rain run down the windows.

Looks like a great day out amidst some stunning scenery. You captured a nice intense facial expression on the young lady in No.5
