Re: Today in pictures

I have not been out much this week so I have not much to show you, anyway I was messing about at home with the camera using different lenses and came up with one or two I like.

No.1 The moon through a long lens
No.2 A penny through a macro lens.
No.3 The Queens lips from a twenty pound note.
No.4 A Frenchman's breakfast.
No.5 View through the bottom of a half full pint glass.
No.6 View of a pretty lady through the same glass. Lets call her Stella.
No.6 View of a spider through the same glass.

All straight from the card, no editing apart from cropping.

Re: Today in pictures

Thanks Turtle.

The spider was a plastic one, it was one of many my cleaner put in my bed when she made it. I pulled the sheets back about ten thirty to go to bed and nearly jumped out of my skin.

Nice having a cleaner with a sense of humour! But just the thought of spiders in the bed makes me go all funny...

Re: Today in pictures

The story is that I knew she was frightened of spiders so I thought I would play a trick on her.
I took a photo of a long legged insect thing and printed it on sticky back paper and put it on the underside of the toilet lid. When she lifted the lid she ran screaming out of the bathroom.
The spiders she put in my bed were all attached to a very fine web so when I moved the first one the rest started to move as well.
I had checked under my pillows before she left because I knew she was up to something but didn't look right down under the sheets.
We have called a truce now, for the time being.
It's worth the money I pay them to have company and a bit of fun for an hour twice a week.

Just shows you don't really need to go out to get some interesting photos - I particulary like the penny - has great texture. Love the story of the spider. Hope it didn't make you jump too much Russell -though to be honest you deserved it!

no its not rules are there for a reason
no more of these type of photos will be allowed
anymore of these put on will be deleted
and there will be no posts allowed moaning about it
the mods have enough to do without checking file size
this site costs a lot to run the servers are expensive
your allowed to use this site for free please do not abuse it by trying to get round the rules
thank you for your help in this

Sorry Mick my post was meant to be tongue in cheek and I'm sure Dave wasn't meaning to take advantage.
