Spring Wood this morning as I have a photographic assignment this afternoon. I have been asked to take pics fro a friend of mine who is having his wedding blessed
A selection of photos from a walk to the little hamlet of Cortetano which I can see from the back of my house. The shrine is at the end of the lane and has been rennovated by the owner of our farm, the tree next to it is a Mulberry. There's also a shot of a Medlar tree in fruit in the village, next to the old Villa with the fancy entrance archway. There are quite a lot of old run-down buildings in the place but it has a ceratin crumbling charm!

Sue, if I could have put you in my pocket......I would have.....Much more comfortable in there.
I hadn't spotted the reflection, until Turtle mentioned it......and by then it was too late to take it out(though it has been cropped off the original).
Funny that, I am usually on the look out for interesting reflection.
Thank you Margaret, I will think of you as the mummy kangaroo and I can be your joey...
Sue, my handbag would be a very uncomfortable place for you be...it is full of things...just stuffed in.....all manner of things from a drink stirrer to a pair of spencer wells forceps(I use them to retrieve my quid from supermarket trolleys)...plus of course the usual: lip balm, handcream, pens, pencils, erasers and a pencil sharpener.....much safer in my pocket.

Good and interesting photos .
The run-down buildings remind me of home . Spring Hill .

Lovely - the derelict buildings hold so much history. I think that the faded-away paint and crumbling bricks are pretty, in their way.
A walk I know very well, I have walked the same route myself, the leaves have got a lot browner since my last visit. Some nice Autumn colours and atmosphere there.

You are lucky to be right in the middle of all that architecture, have fun searching the area.
had a wander down bash lines this afternoon as I was tedsitting again ... so I ended up a bit damp and bashed by all the leaves falling off the trees .. and the tedster ended up one happy muddy dawg ... who weren't too happy when I attacked him with a towel to try and get some of the mud off him .. and he had a bit of a muddy coat as well .... so his owner picked him up and said I need to wash that tonite ...
Today in Pictures, through the Dunkenhalgh Estate, not sure if I was on a footpath or an animal trail for the start of the exercise.
1. Start point, bovine pruning.
2. A badly damaged tree still giving it a go.
3. This looks a bit sinister to me.
4. The other footpath is just beyond the trees.
5. Another tree that fell over.
6. I am normally on the other side of the river.
7. Home to roost.
8. An impressive stand of Beech trees.
9. Further down the same tree line.
10. This is the furthest point and back on the right side of the river.

The Tedster sure looks pleased with himself! I really like the colours in No.6
