While the power is up (most of my town is out - no Tim Horton's for breakfast - Yeesh!) here are a few pics. It's quite pretty really, if you look past the devastation. Out back there are so many big trees down. I'm just glad I moved the car off the driveway last night!
No, it just sounded like it. I was standing by the car this morning scraping all the ice off the windshield when a tree close by lost a branch. There was a big cracking sound before the branch fell. I nearly jumped out of my boots!

I think Dave meant, if you were in Accy there really would be gunfire.

You have to see it to believe it, its not snow on the trees its a covering of ice, that must be cold ! 10 out of 10 for going out there and taking the pictures.
A first for us, a walk around Dean Clough Reservoir.
One of my favourite walks, there are footpaths from the bottom of the reservoirs that take you over the nab. Number 8 is the place I got a lot of fungi shots a couple of years ago, not much this year though, number 9 is a good shot, especially getting them to sit still for a photo.
Today in Pictures, not quite the Coppice, just the front edge through to the top of Arden Hall.
1. Front edge of the Coppice.
2. The top of Arden hall, not sure of the name for this area, I just know some paddling and a bit of climbing had to be done to get this shot, plus my flat cap fell in the stream.
3. You have to be in it, to wet it.
4. Heading up toward the reservoirs.
5. Spire farm, there is a hint of hailstone hitting my bonce.
6. Channelled water to fuel the industrial revolution.
7. You will never guess what's dangling in the water.
8. The first reservoir feeding the second.
9. Almost back at the car park, in between the last shot and this it hail-stoned and a flurry of snow, and it does feel just short of freezing.
10. The sun has just gone down past Darwen Tower in the distance.

Ideally, a walk like that I would get the mrs to drop us off and we`d find our way home, but she was out shopping all day so had to just park up and do a circular walk.
The only way I can get good pics of them is if I make them sit down, even then they are fidgety, but trying to get pics while they are running about is almost impossible. It is a nice walk around there though, will definitely go again.
