He`s got it all wrong, wet T-Shirts need to be white, you may as well not bother if she`s wearing black.

Today in RAW, at this point I am not impressed with shooting in RAW it has taken me twice as long to process, and the results at this stage in my learning curve are no better.
1. Starting in Oak Hill Park.
2. just time for a bloom.
3. And a berry.
4. I'm just messing at this point.
5. Last one in O.H.P.
6. In the rose garden at Haworth Park.
7. And there it is.
8. From the side.
9. You wouldn't want that on the end of your nose.
10. It's a SPYn tree.
I am using Paintshop Pro X5. and then resizing in Photoscape. The paintshop program is a bit on the complicated side, or at least it is at the moment, I am hoping with a bit of use it will become less of a muddle.
Don`t really see any advantage using RAW on my pics either, mostly I edit the JPEG.
The main reason I save as RAW as well is if I fancy a dabble at HDR.

They all end up as JPEG's in order to view them, the videos I have watched on the subject say RAW is better as it captures more information and as a result can be manipulated to correct any over or under exposure. It may be that I revert back to JPEG's but at this stage I am giving it a go just to see if there is any change in the quality of the end result. My view today is that its a bit of a faff.
HDR, now that is a whole new ball game, combining three or more bracketed shot to give one perfectly exposed photo, my view is sometimes it can be a bit chocolate boxy, now and again I see one that works, but can be a bit overdone.
I am experimenting with RAW but shooting in RAW and JPEG I've still got to be fully convinced that RAW is better. Yesterday's few pics were shot in RAW

I agree there are a lot overdone, but if you have the RAW image, you can make the three images from one file by altering the exposure, not as good as taking three, but as an afterthought when you didn`t think at the time to do it as an HDR it can be handy.
Have enjoyed catching up -wonderful selection of photos from everyone. Am back in Italy -still hampered by no internet at home -writing this furtively in the office After several days of solid torrential rain it has finally come out nice. Have taken some shots of the aftermath of the rain which I hope to post eventually. In the meantime -keep snapping, I'll pop on when I can to have a look at your latest works of art! x
