Looks a nice way up, only ever started off at Barley to go up there.
The route left takes you past Pendleton Moor and down to Spring Wood at Whalley. There are some tough styles to climb over and at one point you have to climb over a wall as there is no style, but it is part of the footpath.
I was flicking through my pics and came across these taken off my Iphone 3gs in 2010.There of morecambe bay from round silverdale area.
What a good little cam it had
A trip to Enschede Market & a ride through the scenery on the way back over the villages.
Dutch-German border "Rammelbeecke" - One of many cheese stalls - A 5 a day stall - Street art & dosser - Little theatre facade - Grote Kerk & Oude Markt Enschede - Back in Germany, Bad Bentheim "Burg Benthiem" - Burg Bentheim rear view.
The cheeses look great, and nice to see the colourful peppers
Thank you - it may take some weeks, according to my doc. It cramps my style a bit - can't stand moving about too much or car rides over 5 minutes in duration. Hence I'm really enjoying vicarious walkies with my Accrington Web camera mates!
Today in Pictures, was a day when I found more walls than a lorry load of sausages.
1. Styles were never made for comfort.
2. I have to lie down in the muck at some stage, so get it out of the way early.
3. The wind was that strong I am surprised I got anything in focus.
4. I am buffeted that much its like a little boy writing his name in the snow.
5. Sat on my jacksie again.
6. The wet bits today are not streams, but old cart tracks.
7. Why are dry stone walls so wet.
8. My hat is tied on at this point.
9. Looking down on Clitheroe.
10. Over the next hill and back to the car.
Number 3 is spectacular. I regret never having walked up Pendle - something I missed somehow as a lass. Something to put on my bucket list perhaps!
Nice shots! I loved my 3GS too - I still have it, but its battery conked out after 3 years. Now I use it for playing music in the car - plugged in for power of course.

I am draw to the hill, although there are large areas of not a lot to see,I find the dominating viewpoint and remoteness the reason for me going up there. The downside is when the weather is nice it gets a bit too busy.

All the more reason to brave the elements. Crowds of people would ruin it for me too.
