Not a Clog & Tulip type of Lad Mo but if you so desire I'm sure it can arranged next time we're over (in 2 weeks). As to the Beer, not this time, but on occasion a wee one off refresher is quite acceptable alongside some Cloggie cuisine.

Part 1. Today in Pictures, Over the Nab and through Whalley. A lot to view today so hang in there.

1. It was a two car affair today,this was the start point ,Gamecock.
2. Cock Bridge, looking back as we walked away.
3. River Calder, not as high as it was a few days ago.
4. A stream that feeds into the Calder.
5. Looking back in the Cock Bridge direction.
6. Down the slippery steps.
7. Another stream feeding the Calder.
8. Is that a rabbit?
9. Looking back to the start point.
10. Continuing our upward slog.

14. This was our descent down to Whalley.
15. And still down.
16. I cant pass a slug without a snap.
17. Whalley main street.
18. King Street Bridge in Whalley with the Calder flowing through.
19. View from the other side, high water a few days ago did this.
20. The weir just up from the bridge.

21. Heron on the weir.
22. Ducks on the edge.
23. Up Abbey Mews.
24. Abbey Mews looking down to the road, Its a converted mill.
25. The old water wheel under what was the mill (Its an undershot wheel)
26. Looking to the Abbey Gatehouse.
27. Stone coffin in the churchyard. (St Mary's)
28. St Mary's and All Saints Church.
29. Abbey Gatehouse as we go past.
30. Quick shot of the viaduct.

I enjoyed todays Jaunt. I thought the stone coffin was a horse trough...see you learn something new every day.

Ooh....boys toys. Himself went down town today. I wondered why it took him so long. He was probably drooling and reliving his youth looking at these machines.
