That would be the Caledonian canal I guess Frank??
Correct first try. We were on holiday 4 years since in a cottage at the side of the canal about 3 miles south of Fort Augustus. I had done my ankle in so my wife had to take Max out . It was a terrible holiday, I had to drink gallons of whiskey to numb the pain.

I reckon you did that deliberately to give you an excuse to try a few more!

Today in Pictures. Lets have a look down there. A small section of Gt Harwood Nature Trail.
1. Start point. Bottom end of Memorial Park.
2. Down the lane beside the house.
3. Across the fields for some more wet water.
4. Glancing off the River Calder, notice the camera view point, I'm doing the backstroke.
5. Some more wet water as I climb back up the hill.
6. A quick look back, halfway up the hill.
7. Yet another stream, the area is riddled with them.
8. Rockey outcrop.
9. Do you think it will charge, I hope not I've only got a couple of quid.
10. A glance back before going up the lane and back to the car, its started to rain.
A walk I will do in full later, but with a map this time.
