Today in Pictures, Start and finish on the railway track, well it was once.
1. The early cherries are still hanging in there, but getting to the end.
2. Such a big thing to supply electricity.
3. Just a slight tickle of Tottleworth.
4. Thowd railway bridge.
5. Same again.
6. And this is the bit the Choo Choos ran on.
7. And here as well.
8. Who put a tree right in the middle of the path.
9. Before getting in the car my droplet alarm went off.
10. And with that it was time for home.

A really nice set of shots! Number one is a stunner, but then so is number 10.
Thanks, been up there about 5 times now, but only seen them once before and they were too quick for me then. By the time I`d parked up they`d moved on. They must have been in the mood for being photographed yesterday, got loads of pics.
When I went to a red kite feeding station , the farmer fed them on the newborn lambs afterbirth. They go mad for that as they are not hunters, but scavengers

Glad the alarm is working -those flower/droplet photos are lovely. Great colours especially like 9.

I had used the batteries out of my fungal detector and didn't know how much power was left, but I had the detection level down to low meniscus value............................................. ................I have to go now the nurse wants me back in my room.
A visit to PLAC dairies in Cremona to show how our milk is transformed into Grana Padana cheese. Similar to Parmigiano Reggiano (Parmesan) it is Italy's most exported DOP ("protected origin" )foodstuff with 1,000,000 cheeses of 40-44kg each being sold abroad per year. The warehouse at the end of the set of photos houses 160,000 cheeses, which are matured there for between 16-24 months, as well as other products which are all different forms of Provolone cheese.
Our farm is a member of a different cooperative dairy in Soresina which produces the cheese in exactly the same way - it is much larger and their warehouse has 1,000,000 of these cheeses stored. http://www.latteriasoresina.it/en/company/
I went on this trip to act as translator to the two farmers from California (pictured with beers after the tour) who were visiting us that day. Hank Van Exel and Jory Arioso who between them milk 2500 cows! Hank was in Italy as he was the judge at the European Dairy Show in Cremona this year(he is wearing the cap!).
