Is there still the ghost ride on the pier (I think that's where it was)? Went on that loads of times with my sister when we were there 36 years ago!!
Thank you Dianne for your lovely comments.
I really do like to go out and about. Being here means I can snap different things......and I enjoy messing about with the pics as much as taking them.

When I take a pic, I have definite ideas in my head of how I want the snap to look. Often I can see the result in my head before I have done anything with my pictures.

Re: Today in pictures

Today in Pictures, down to the river on a mostly sunny day.

1. Starting point, and despite local rumours, I went over and licked the house, It is not made out of gingerbread.
2. I've saved you a seat.
3. Down the hill to the river.
4. I do like trees in outline.
5. Stop sniffing that, we are being watched.
6. Does that tree look ugly to you, and I can see a face on the trunk.
7. If it's not wet, you are not doing it right.
8. Suddenly I am in Middle Earth.
9. Every time I look at those trees there are more branches on the ground.
10. Now a few flowers are out, so are the insects.

We were stood by the ruins and heard this almighty noise, there were 2 chinooks but I only managed to get one. We heard them about two or three minutes before they were overhead.

Re: Today in pictures

Today in pictures, 30 minutes is all I had, so spent it on my knees.

1-5 On the knees shots.
6. I have a bad head, too much of the amber nectar, can you go and get a ladder.
7. Don't have any information on this, but I noticed one in Oak Hill Park the last time I was there.
8. I think it sort of explains what is going on.

I've been aboard them flying low level, rappelled out of one at about 30 meters & debussed out of another in a creeping hover to take up all round defence positions, so yep, I know all about the noise level.

Re: Today in pictures

We are at the bum end of our break.
We come back home tomorrow. We have to be thankful for what we have had, but I could happily have stayed another week(is that being greedy?)
Anyway, here is my one picture for today.

Family flying a kite on the beach.
