Taken from our walk today except no 10 .My missus is holding 2 3 hr old lambs on a farm near us. I asked the farm manager if she could hold a lamb, he went one better and let her hold twins.
I had just finished my washing up and saw the cat on the roof opposite.
My little pocket camera was on the worktop charging and I had just time to snap the cat. I took them through the window, luckily the window cleaner had just been earlier.
Today in Pictures, Lower Barnes Street in 30 minutes.
1. Peacock Butterfly.
2. Sycamore tree in flower.
3. Bridge over the River Hyndburn, it goes to Gt Harwood.
4. The weir where the river level changes.
5. Same again.
6. Another fern frond unfurling.
I find taking flower snaps in full sunlight difficult, the colours overexpose, I find if I cast my shadow over the flower the snap exposes better, but keep that to yourself. And yes we are taking similar snaps, the seasons must be alongside one another now, well almost, the rape crop aver here is not even close to flowering.
Useful tip -will give it a try.
Been walking out during the middle of the day lately so the light is much stronger - better to go late in the afternoon to get some llight/shade in the pics - early morning is good too but I'm not a lark

Lovely forget-me-nots and I realy like the feel of number 7. Cute lambs too - your wife did well to hold them both -they don't keep still for long!

Your window-cleaner earns his money -would never have know they were taken through glass if you hadn't said!
The cat has very interesting markings -was probably hunting birds!

Nice pics, really like the sycamore -don't try saying "fern frond unfurling" too fast though - bit of a tongue-twister!

Reason: Forgot an apostrophe!
I have just looked up the butterfly and think it is probably a "Wall Brown".

I love the Springtime when everything is coming to life especially on the farm. I was brought up on a farm at Green Haworth .Nigher Frier Hill Farm

I think my pink flower is a very tiny wild geranium - looking at the leaves!
