There are plenty of dears around Accrington, you just know where to look, they`re usually not far from the duckies.

Re: Today in pictures
There is a family of three living near me up Sandy Lane. It's not so often we see them but every time we do I never have my camera.

Now you mention it it is deer, I never gave it a thought, I rely on my spell checker to point out when I am sprelling my worms wrong, and it wouldn't would it, had it been an antelope the checker would have brought my attention to it. I have never seen one so don't think I will be spelling it any time soon.
The other site photos and here looks like you had a good get together.

Put it on the list, you have to "do" the top and lodges.

They must get around the coppice area then, at least to the lodges for water.

I believe that they have been spotted around the trees near the top lodge, although I have never seen them there myself. I usually see them in the fields going from Newhouse Barn to Higher Brox.

Re: Today in pictures
I frequent that area on a casual basis, so next time I will sit quietly, and make a noise like a carrot, I was in that area yesterday, there would be no chance of wildlife spotting, the area was very busy with walkers, dogs swimming in the lodges, horses with riders, low flying planes, two different types buzzing the top. Plus there was a little fat chap throwing himself on the floor taking pictures.

This is the story of my visit to Halifax yesterday.
Just in case anyone wants to read about my travels with my camera.
Leave me a comment if you enjoy it(please).

The best time I have heard is midweek, when the kids are at school and no mini motos up there. Would be nice to meet up one day and go deer stalking.

Re: Today in pictures
A walk today around near us. The photos were all taken from the same spot , on the track through the field from Higher Brox Farm to Broad Oak. Trying out my zoom lens.
1.JPG1a.JPG2.JPG2a.JPG3.JPG3a.JPG4.JPG5.JPG
Nos 1,2, and 3 were taken without the zoom, 1a,2a, and 3a the zoom was open fully. No 4 is a shot of Dickies Meadow and No 5 is the plastic tree on the track from Gallows Hall Farm.

Re: Today in pictures
If they had been there Frank, you would surely have seen them!
