Not todays pictures...but more from yesterday.
I had the pleasure of the visit yesterday and I relived it today when I was 'messing' with my pics.
Here are some of the ones I 'messed' with.

It is an old silo tower where they used to store feed for cattle - not in use these days. There's another one just beyond the church in the village too which is overgrown in the same way. They are quite interesting features. The Villa entrance with all the roses I posted yesterday is the main house of a very large dairy farm which has buildings and animals scattered through the village - the towers were obviously once used by the farmer.
I did notice the villa entrance (1st picture) had to the rear a large mast with horizontal aerials, someone at the farm is an radio amateur, not really relevant, but an observation.

By the looks of them Dave they must be a serious amateur, some nice gear there.
Today in Pictures, a moist moment making up for yesterdays dry spell. Where did the "River Stink" go, you wouldn't think this area had three mine shafts and various chemical works around here.
1. Rishton dip is just behind the big tree.
2. Moo cows roam the flatlands, keep away they are vicious.
3. I have to climb back up that banking in a moment.
4. At this point we were unobserved.
5. Devils Bridge, almost hidden by shrubs and tree growth. Just over the bridge is a concrete structure, its a cap on one of the mine shafts.
6. The river as it curves around to go under the motorway bridge, just on the edge to the right.
7. The other side of Devils Bridge, you can just make out the metal rail in the centre of the picture.
8. Bob giving himself a bit of hydrotherapy, note the bare bum.
9. If its not wet, you are not doing it right.
10. Escaped Rape plants are along the banking here, brought down stream and deposited here.

If you look at the mast it has a rotator fitted to the centre mast, with a three element HF Yagi, and at right angles what appears to be a trapped dipole possibly a G5................for those that haven't a clue what I am on about, I am in Nerd mode, I am sat here with my anorak on (with fur edged hood) and black pumps.
Now every time I see pics posted with birds, or wild animals, or wick things I will be assessing their suitability for the competition I mentioned a few posts back.
GP you have a couple there that would go into the insect category very nicely.
Both good uncomplicated shots.

We are in a cottage about 6 miles south of Forres, near a village called Dallas. Going up to Chanonry Point today ( about 30 miles away) to look out for dolphins. Just hope the sun comes out and we can see some dolphins.

I am dead envious. It was sunny here first thing and I had planned to be out and about with my camera, but just got caught in a downpour so I'm soaked through......and the sky looks like there is more to come.#
