Thanks for the pics Jen, I'm glad it was such a nice day weatherwise and you obviously had a great time. I'm sure the drive home through Bowland was an added bonus - I love stopping at that lookout tower, the view is amazing - even in the dark when you can see all the lights for miles around.
It's good to see one's home through someone else's eyes - I hardly notice all the bird statues etc any more yet they are they one of the town's major attractions supposedly! Glad to see you made it up the prom almost as far as our house - we live just behind the prom near the yacht club's house on stilts!
near this?

Yes, that's our near neighbour - and a very good picture of it! They have races at the weekend and some people drag their yachts down our back lane to get to the sea. It's weird watching sails and masts going past over the garden wall!

I'm not a sunset virgin anymore, I was out in the car so had the opportunity to chase the colours, they are presented as is, with no manipulation other than to resize them. The first three around the Greyhound Pub, the rest are up Dill Hall Lane on the footpath down to the canal.

You managed to capture some of the same colours as I did, I don't manage to spot many sunsets so my contributions will be few and far between.
I leave it to those better placed, and more able than myself.
I will stick to my subjects, which are wet water and wickthings, and if I can get a wickthing in water , well, then I am beside myself.
