What size card do you use, Margaret. I have an 8GB in both my cameras and as soon as I have downloaded them onto my 2TB external hard drive, I format mt SD card.
It's been a soggy week over here, except for a few drier moments. Dodging the rain clouds, hubby and I drove over to Esquesing Conservation area for the first time in many a year. I was struck by the noise of the gravel pit next door, and all the dust from the gravel hauling trucks. But once inside the woods itself, it was blessedly peaceful. The damage from last winter's ice storm was everywhere to be seen along with a few mushies. I had planned to get down a la davemac, but decided against it once a saw the snake! Just a wee fellow (a garter snake, quite harmless) but still a snake!

Thanks Frank! I'm so glad we decided to go - it really was a case of "watch those clouds". It was a bit mucky underfoot, but not bad. All the leaves are in their best colour right now, but not much of that in the woods! More to come tomorrow.
64gb...it was what was recommended......but I have never filled it yet.
I think that the 64gb is recommended in case you shoot in RAW.....but I haven't tried that format yet.
I transfer to my computer after each session of photography(and to the 1TB external hard drive and a 128GB stick) after all you can't be too careful(after the loss of my last external drive I am super cautious)

I think Davemac will be impressed with those Caroline.......he likes the fungi shots.

Gordon Bennet. I shoot RAW and jpeg with my SLR and have never got near to filling my 8GB card. I once shot 115 photos of dog agility when Max used to do it and thet was near.
Wonder if he was shrimping.......and the guy with the bucket was cockling...but not cockling over.

The guy with the bucket reminds me of when I tried digging for clams on a beach in Prince Edward Island. I got squirted in the face by the mucky devils - put me off, I can tell you!
Yes...I can remember a day out to St Annes as a child we spent all day on the beach collecting cockles. Took them home in a large galvanised bucket.
When I saw what they looked like once cooked and out of the shells I couldn't bear to try them.....but Dad and the boys loved them drenched in vinegar).......the excess were swapped for a dozen eggs and a boiling fowl.
So the day was very productive.....cost very little(half a crown for the jug of tea to go with our sandwiches. Two bob back on the jug)
Those were really happy days.

AND the eggs were new laid that morning and covered in bits of straw and hen muck.
