Love the lighthouse picture. I have a thing about lighthouses.

It's been a soggy week over here, except for a few drier moments. Dodging the rain clouds, hubby and I drove over to Esquesing Conservation area for the first time in many a year. I was struck by the noise of the gravel pit next door, and all the dust from the gravel hauling trucks. But once inside the woods itself, it was blessedly peaceful. The damage from last winter's ice storm was everywhere to be seen along with a few mushies. I had planned to get down a la davemac, but decided against it once a saw the snake! Just a wee fellow (a garter snake, quite harmless) but still a snake!
I certainly wouldn't get down and dirty in a place where snakes were active, there is always next time

I certainly like the fungi shots, especially as they are in short supply here at the moment, I have returned to sites that were covered in them last year, this year....... nowt.

First rule in the things at ground level: if its not wet you are not doing it right.
On a general note there are some very interesting subjects being photographed at the moment on here, slightly envious my large curriculum does not permit such expeditions at the moment, have taken note of the large number of wet bits......outstanding.
Just around the woods at Cutwood park, so it should come as no surprise that there are lots of trees, and brown bits, more trees and even more brown bits, and then to finish off some brown bits with trees.
