1 Our ship awaits
2 He's behind you!
3 Ah - they've seen him at last...
4 Lenin with peace symbol behind on the hill
5 In close up
6 Monument to something that happened in 1948 - no translation so can't tell you what it was
7 Small flowers in the grass
8 The tiny Russian orthodox chapel built as a monument to those killed in a plane crash
9 78 parallel cafe bar - not the place to be any more
10 We made friends with these two very talented Rumanian musicians working on the ship - today they were detailed as escorts for this trip - think they want to get back in the warm

Dave, just looked at your Flickr pics. I love that one of the droplets on the grass blade, with the hairs underneath. Just one question - doesn't Bob get bored, waiting around for you to take shots like that?
He is used to it now, he just sits down and waits, but will be posting a picture of him in "todays" which sort of tells you his mood, just looking at the stuff others have posted first.
Part 1. Today in Pictures, an experience in moistness.
1. I'm on a search at the moment for the perfect droplet.
2. One nudge and they will all run off.
3. I crept up on this wickthing.
4. I don't think he knew I was there.
5. A wet willow herb flower.
6. I'm piggin fed up, wet, and miles from home.
7. Wet grass seed head.
8. I cant go too long without a snail shot.
9. Its not graffiti, its a bit of stencil work.
10. A wet bridge at Church.
I know I said I don't like wick things but the Mayfly is quite beautiful...and the wings look like they are made of lace. I wonder if it was resting because of the wet......It can't be easy to try and fly when your wings are waterlogged(unless of course they are water wings)
I think you must have a very steady hand..or a very wet vest(from lying on the ground).

11. Another wet holiday.
12. Lichens on a fence ( xanthoria parietina ) best guess.
13. Motorway slip road, Burnley direction.
14. The stuff they throw away, there should be a law against it.
15. A moist web.

I think it was as waterlogged as I was, I am usually on my knees, unless I fall over or down a slope, which I do on a regular basis.
I would worry about rolling into the canal.......is Bob a rescue dog?

Great pics Sue....it does look very austere though.....no bronzed bodies, sunbrella's, drinks with a sparkler in them.
I'm sure it was a great experience.

I do have inflatable underpants, so I am prepared. I have trained bob to use the camera, so if I go in the canal, it should be posted here the same day.
Oh yes, it is far more colourful than a Mayfly.......I knew it was too small to be a dragonfly. Thank you Sue, I am getting a first class education on the flowers and the bug life.

I always get confused between damsel flies and dragon flies... discovered tonight that dragonflies tend to hold their wings horizontally while mayflies tend to hold them parallel with their bodies. You learn something every day!
